Week 6 - Flying Down to Concepcion Chile

Image
From Priscilla's Mission Presidents,  Dear Brother and Sister Williams, Sister Catala and I had the great pleasure of welcoming  Sister Priscilla Noel Williams to the Chile Concepción Mission.  After we met her at the airport when she arrived, we enjoyed lunch together with the other missionaries.  We held an orientation and testimony meeting and Sister Williams met her new companions, Sister  Felicity Ann Helms and Sister Samantha Nicole Sturgis , who will train her to be a missionary. They will be laboring in the District of Penco 2 and located in the Zone of Penco. A mission is a wonderful experience filled with challenge and success that strengthens the testimony and spirituality of each missionary. The greatest support you as a family can give your missionary during her service as a missionary is that of uplifting letters.  Missionaries look forward with great anticipation to each letter from home.  In a...

Last Week in the CCM.  So like my title says, it’s my last week here :( I feel like the time has gone by so fast!  But I’ve loved every single second here!!!  This week we have so many meetings about travel plans, continuing goals in the mission and things like that, so it’s finally real! CRAZY!  Does it feel like I’ve been out for over a month to you guys? Cause I feel like this should be my second week… So really quick, this is my talk that I was going to give on Sunday if I got called on, but I didn’t so I’m just going to share it with you! Yo quiero leer les la storia del hombre sabio y el hombre imprudente. (Matthew 7:25-27). I want to read the story of the wise man and the foolish man .  La Apostacia personal es mismo siendo el hombre imprudente. The personal apostacy is the same as the foolish man.  Tenemos un pía en el Evangelio, pero cuando el viento de la duda y la llubia del temor aparecen; nos damos por vencidos, porque es muy ...

Week 4 Hey y’all! So today I’m going to the temple again, so I’m going to be on for a little bit, and then I’m gonna do my cleaning and all that, then I’ll be back on at 10:30 until 11:30 so email me! I cant believe its my 5th week already, I only have one full week and a little left, and then I go to Chile!  THAT’S SO INSANE!!!  It doesn’t feel like I should be leaving yet, but I honestly feel ready. I’m nervous for the Chilean Spanish, but I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on Mexican spanish so hopefully that will help! Can I just say that Satan is so real. But so is God! And I can honestly say that God is SOOO much stronger than Satan!  Here’s 2 of my journal entries, one one night and the next the next morning. "February 3rd. I legit have been on the verge of crying all day. I don’t know why, but its kinda a lot of things. My conpanera refuses to study with me (she doesnt, I was just really emotional and took it that way) and that makes me feel reall...

3rd Week - You Can't Not Feel the Spirit

Image
Hey all, so I’m going to the temple today so I wont be getting on until around 2ish! (My time) Love you all!!! Dios nos ama Hermana Williams Hola from Mexico!!! So my favorite quote this week is "Anything done with love is done well!" M___ was such a hard investigator and V______ is still stubborn, but I love them so much! And A____ is so cute! I can’t wait until they agree to get baptized! So like my heading said.. this week I got called Santa Clause by one of the elders in my district (Elder J____) because apparently he doesn’t think Nutella should go on toast, but I do! So he basically called me fat, but thats okay cause if I was really fat he wouldn’t call me that so that is okay! During our devotional yesterday we were talking about becoming like Christ and remembering who we are and so they showed a clip from the Lion King and I about cried! I didn’t think Disney could bring the spirit, but with that context, it was so powerful! MY LIFE IS SO AMAZIN...
