Week 28 - Becoming More Direct

Image
Week 28 July 23, 2018 Hi All, This week has been a little crazy.. so you know how I’ve always had a hard time being direct with people... telling things how they are.. all that jazz. well in the mission we have to do that a lot, and this week I failed.  I’m going to work hard to be better, but because I wasn’t able to be direct with people, we didn’t have anyone in the church. But what’s good, is that I know that repentance is real and that I can change and do better! Love you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got to go. - Sister Williams

Week 27 - I LOVE Temples!

Image
Week 27 - July 17, 2018 Sorry I didn’t write yesterday, it was a holiday here. . . I think they have holidays every week, it’s crazy! But I’m on now! It makes for a short P-day and the time the next day to write! This is my temple! I know that God sent us here to families, and that he doesn’t want our families to end when we die.  He loves us more than that. So he gave us temples. I know that the covenants that we make inside the temples help us to be a forever family.  I know that we can feel more peace and comfort in the temples then in any other place on earth. I’m so excited to help the people in Chile find this peace and love with our new temple in Concepcion!!! Got to go, I love you!!!! Sister Williams

Week 26 - One Third Through My Mission, Training has it's Benefits

Image
Week 26 - July 9, 2018 Hey hey hey!  So I literally have 30 seconds to type this message, but today marks 6 months in the mission!  I’m so old! God has blessed me and helped me grow so much in this short time! I’ve learned that relying on the Savior is the only way to go through life.  It doesn’t matter what problem comes your way, you can get through it with the help of God! Alma 7 is my favorite chapter in The Book of Mormon.. and Alma 26! Remember that God never abandons you, you just distance yourself from Him! I’ve been training and I like it so much better than being the junior companion.  I’m still stressed because I need to teach my new companion everything and feel like I should know everything, but it’s soo much nicer to have my own way with everything! (keeping in mind to ask her opinion and such) and it’s just so much nicer to be able to decide things and not have to follow a routine that I don’t like! (don’t worry, I’m making sure my co...

Week 25 - Focusing On Others Makes Me Happy

Image
Week 25 Hey all, yesterday was a holiday so I’m writing today! I’ll send out the group email in a sec, but love you! That’s so exciting that Marshall should be putting on his mission call soon!  I can’t wait for him to get his call!!! Filling everything out for a mission is a long process, it’s hard when things like interviews get pushed back.  I’m praying that this Sunday he can have his final interview! I love training!  Some missionaries don’t like being out at night because it’s dark here at 6 or 6:30 and then there isn’t anyone in the streets and that can scare some missionaries.  But we need to work until 9:30. Praying always helps! We have also started to sing hymns when we are walking so hopefully that will help too. Right now I’m in Parral in the Zone of Linares, about 2 and a half hours from Concepcion. My hardships right now aren’t that hard.. its cold (like always) and that means that the members sometimes don’t want to leave to kn...

Week 24 - Teaching in 3 Languages!

Image
Hey all! So this week has been super crazy! My friend Hermana Rueda finished her mission and leaves tomorrow for her house.. Tomorrow the new missionaries come to the mission office and... GUESS WHAT!!! IM TRAINING!!!!!!!!!!!! How crazy is that? I feel like the blind leading the blind.. But I know that God can do all things, and that with his help, I can teach someone how to be a missionary... But other than that, I’m staying here in Parral YAY! This Saturday we are going to have the baptism of Chelo (haitian) and he is super excited for his day to finally get here! Have you all seen pictures of the temple in Concepcion yet?  If not, look them up! It’s so pretty! I can’t wait for the open house and then the dedication! Can I just say how hard it is speaking 3 languages?  I’m getting better with my Spanish. My English is worse than before, but sometimes I teach in English also, and sometimes we have people who don’t understand English or Spanish so we speak Cr...

Week 23 - Cousins and Friends Getting Mission Calls

Image
Week 23 June 18, 2018 Heyo!  I’m on!  How crazy that Madi got her call to Chile!!!  And Kimberly is going to the Alabama Birmingham mission!!!  Wait, Clayton is going to Japan??? How exciting for all of them! I read the email that Grammy Williams sent out, Madi’s mission is right above mine!  And she’s just barely missing the dedication of the temple here! Marshall is awesome!!!! For his mission I think he is going to go.. Spanish speaking ....Texas, Mexico, or Asia!!!  (We said she could pick a language, a state, a country and a continent) Flying definitely helped prepare me for the mission and the travels.  When you are on your own it’s always different than when you’re with people.  When you’re with people, and they don’t speak your language, it’s even more different!  I know that traveling on his own will help prepare him! Living in different parts also helps to adapt faster to the cambios! Thanks for sending...

Week 22 - Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Image
Week 22 June 11, 2018 Rain rain go away, come again another day!  Wow, this week it has rained almost every day!  Which was super crazy! I’ve caught a cold from it :( but thats okay cause I’m still up and working!  Doing what matters! We had 3 baptisms this week! Lisette (Chilena) Dina, y Bienne (Haitianos). Also, we had a wedding this week! Dina and Bienne got married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was literally so happy when they got married!!! And after they got married we were visiting with them in their house and Bienne (the husband) was talking with 2 other haitianos who are living in the same house but who arent married and he told them that if they don’t get married they are living in sin!  It was good!!! It was a week full of craziness and miracles! I'll upload pics in just a sec... love you!  I’m doing good! It was a week super crazy and I’m still not sleeping good, but it was a week very good!  I’m trying to forget myself and focus on other...
