Week 8 - Elder Bragg, Speaking Spanish and Hard Work
Week 8 March 5, 2018
Wow, the time here has flown! I only have 4 weeks left in this transfer! Crazy!!! The days feel like weeks and the weeks feel like days..
This week I got called on during a zone conference (with Elder Bragg of the 70) and I actually understood the question and answered (i think) decently! The conference with him was super amazing though, I really love hearing and learning more about what I should be studying right now! I think I'm trying to balance 6 or 7 different topics of study, along with language! Its crazy but so good! My brain has never hurt this much but never felt so good at the same time!
I have a sick watch line (sorry, no pictures) and my freckles are coming out! Makes me so happy!!! I love the sun, and am trying to enjoy it before it gets super cold!
There are SOO many dogs here! Usually they are behind gates and or are sleeping, but at times there are a lot or really big ones around us, and one starts barking, and then the others get riled up.. it’s an adventure! I think there were 2 times this week when I was actually a little scared, but usually it’s totally fine! There’s one dog who we see a lot and he has the BLUEST eyes I have ever seen! They are gorgeous! But I definitely don’t want a dog when I get home..
Can I just say how good God is? He truly does help us! My prayers usually have been (in Spanish) super basic and such, but yesterday my companeras were super nervous about visiting one of our investigators because they want him to bring up baptism because every other time they have talked about it in the past, hes closed up. So i suggested that we pray about it, and they asked me to. I don’t think I’ve ever expressed the desires of my heart better then when I prayed then. Afterwards we visited the boy, and then he asked me to say the closing prayer and again, God blessed me so much! In that moment, I truly felt the love that our Father has for him.
Reading in Spanish is so much easier than speaking Spanish! In my personal study I’ve been only reading in the Spanish Libro de Mormon and such and I'm understanding it! It takes me time, but for me, that’s a miracle! God truly is our Father. He cares about us, and the different things happening in our life! He wants to help each and every one of us with everything! All we have to do is ask and then act in faith that He heard (which he always does) and that he will help! (which he always does)
The mission is definitely hard. I’ve never worked so much in my entire life. But the mission is also so incredibly good! I'm learning things I wish I would have learned ages ago. I'm learning how to love. Really truly love. I’m learning more about God and about how much he is a part of my life! But also, I’m learning that I still have SO much to learn! And I can’t tell you how incredibly excited I am for that!
Hope all of your lives are going well, and if you write me I’ll try to respond next week, but know that I love you all! But more importantly God and Jesus Christ love you (I can’t tell you how weird it is to write Jesus Christ and not Jesucristo)
Dios nos ama!

ps. the food here is to die for! I literally love it so much!
I’ll have to ask about the tomatoes, I’ll email you the recipe next week!
Hey, could you send me the footprints in the sand quote in English and Spanish?
Also, when I walk long distances or really fast my shins hurt.. What oils are good or what should I do for that?
Also, depending on how much money the mission gives me, I might withdraw a bit from my account because no one here eats dinner and I’m always hungry when I get back to the house so I’m gonna get some healthy food like oatmeal and things easy to make but healthy!
Also, there are Williams here! Could you send me the family line through the Williams? I only have the Fisher’s and Kunz’s...
I'm writing my big group email now, I only have a bit longer...

I can’t believe Brielle 10 weeks old already.
Also, I’m off now, love you!
