Week 13 - My 3 Month Mark!
Hola hola! Today marks 3 months in the misión!!! I’m on!
Here are some of my highlights so far. Getting to know the people in both Mexico and Chile, watching conference in Spanish, and visiting the temple! Being able to experience the country of Chile. Becoming fluent in Spanish. Strengthening my testimony. Impacted other people for the good!
I’ve also been able to Mexico Temple and the Concepción Temple (the outside). Missionaries in the misión Concepción don’t get to visit the Santiago temple... are you on the Facebook page for my misión? I sang a duet (kind of a duet) for a practice and there might be a video.. if so, don’t laugh, I was super nervous!!!
I feel like I understood most all of General Conference (90 percent!) when we watched it in Spanish. But I want to read it in English so that I can actually study the words..
Haha, it’s much much easier understanding Spanish then it is speaking Spanish... I’ll get a copy of the General Conference Ensign from the office next month.
My duet was a last minute thing, a practice for sharing the temple in the bus... so it isn’t very good, and I sang in Spanish, and with an Elder.. so it’s kind of blah,, but it was huge for me for getting up and singing in front of people!
I think you should wait to come to visit Chile (or live in Chile) until after I return home so that I can return and revisit my misión! Good luck in the Philippines! Make sure to take pictures!!!
One of my first companions, whose mission is over and is now home, Sister __ helped me with my Spanish the most and helped me with exact obedience and focusing on the work, so that was super good!
Yes, I know how much you love me, I hope you know how much I love you too!
I’m working on complimenting more too, it’s funny how different people show love in different ways!
Do you have the misión home address still? You can just ship it to there and I can pick it up when I’m in Concepción next! If you can, ship it the fastest because I’m buying a raincoat next week. Sometimes the packages get here in 1 week that way...
My favorite meat right now is salmon because its super rare to eat! Usually we eat chicken with potatoes and rice with the members.. In the misión is the first time I’ve eaten chicken off the bone.
If you want to send 2 more bottles of Deep blue that would be perfect!
2 Slim and Sassy, 2 Deep blue rub, 2 Lavender, 1 peppermint, 2 Serenity, 2 Lemon, 1 Wild Orange, and whatever else you think I might need!
Speaking of oils.. what is best for a cold and a cough?
The vitamins.. Onguard on my feet.. anything else?
I should take my vitamins with breakfast and lunch, okay! I think I have lime.. if not, would wild orange do the same for respiratory support?
Okay, thanks for sending out my glasses to get the prescription changed, sorry this is such a long drawn out process…
Everything is super good! I love my new companion (trio) I’ll share a folder with pictures of her!
Mhmm! I’m signing off now though, love you! I’m thinking of starting a video diary and just uploading that every week cause that’s less time typing and then I can talk more to people, because I still didn’t have enough time to write my group email..
Love you lots! I always love pictures!
