Week 9 - Getting Out of My Comfort Zone and Loving it!

Week 9 - Monday, March 12, 2018
Wow! I’ve been serving the Lord for 2 months!  Y casi 3 semanas aqui en Chile!!!  The time has been FLYING!!!

I love my companeras so much!  They are always helping me learn and get out of my comfort zone... which is super hard.  But I love it!  I now start basically every door approach, and they have a rule where I need to ask a question or talk in between each of them when we are teaching, so that I can learn how to talk better and how to think on my feet!

Conjugations are killing me.. but thats okay! I know past present, future, conjunctional, and such, but still, it’s hard to keep them all straight!  And I’m memorizing where different topics in the scriptures are.. there’s so much in my brain right now it’s hard to keep it all straight!

But my companeras are really good at helping me practice and at helping me speak solo español todo tiempo!

This week was Fast Sunday and I love it!  It’s hard because people here are so incredibly sincere with what they believe and how they feel.  We have a miracle child (10 years old) who literally is the best investigator ever!  It makes my heart so happy when we are at his house and he runs upstairs so that he can sing with us and read along in the scriptures with us! He is seriously my favorite person here!

A little about my companeras...
Hermana S____ is the one with the curly hair, she is from Utah, she wants to be a teacher when she finishes school (I forget where she is studying ..or was studying) and she is super sweet!  She is soft spoken, but loud when needed! Hilarious! Writes the sweetest notes! She very much has a mom kind of personality.  Type2 y Type 3 I think… (The Carol Tuttle Energy Typing system)

Hermana H____ is finishing her mission after this transfer, she is very much a Type 3 y Type 4.  Very much a go getter, tells you when you are wrong, wants to do everything a certain way, she’s very much a hard teacher.

It’s nice cause I have both kinds of a companions!  I love them both in different ways!

Thanks for all the emails this week, I’m sorry if I dont always reply to them, I love reading them and hearing an update on your life!

I love the completos!  The bread is literally heaven!  If they don’t have this bread in Heaven I’m gonna cry!  I love the potatoes, there is potatoes at every meal (my companera doesn’t like potatoes).  I love the tomatoes!  The soups are usually pretty good, I’m not a HUGE fan of the salads, the dressing is kinda funky, too much lime!  There is a thing called Berlines which is a dulce.. break with lemon filling with powdered sugar.. soo good!  I love all of the fruit here, a lot of peaches!  I don’t like the cream.. it’s kind of bitter!

Thanks for the information on shin splints, Mom!  It’s usually only when we walk insanely fast to the next appointment or something, I’m gonna try massaging deep blue and then doing different stretches in the morning.

Love you all! I just shared a google doc with my pictures in it.. Hope you have an amazing week!

I’m off.

Dios nos ama,
Hermana Williams
