Week 15 - Relaxing with Serenity

Week 15 - Week of April 23, 2018

Hello Family,
It sounds like Marshall is doing great with his dance.  He really is amazing, I was always a little jealous because he by far surpassed me!
The scariness that I mentioned in the past was probably just with the dogs, nothing bad!

I’m actually taking some of my free time on my mission to think about what I really want to study, because there’s a of different things a person could do with their life.  I have a list now. But I feel like there’s a calling out there for me and I just haven’t found it yet. So far I’ve thought of Cosmotology, Being a Secretary (legal or for the government or something more official, I LOVE office work  and organizing!), being a psycologist for teens, being a doctor, but not anything with needles or blood.. more in the área of doterra or herbal stuff...and of course dance.

I would love to study in Europe.  When I read Grammys email that she is touring Europe, I was super jealous!

Where is Ashley Baird going?????????  Grace is going to Georgia, Ashley is New Mexico, and when can Marshall put in his papers?

 Colt really is an amazing guy, i know any girl will be lucky to get him, I just also know that not every girl deserves him.

So Dad and Colt leave for the Philippines in May.  You are thinking about maybe moving there after? How crazy is that.. It blows my mind that this is even something that you guys are thinking of! Siempre era como que ustedes querían visitar Europa pero nunca era serious...

I have fleas in my bed again.. this time they are attacking my legs. I sprayed something to kill them yesterday so we will see if it works or not...

Doterra story!  One of the sisters had a LOT of stress with another one of the sisters.  She manages her stress kind of the same way I do, by keeping it inside. Well now that she is more relaxed the stress is leaving her body.. through her hair.  She was losing a TON of hair! Like... literally a hairball every time she showered! So I started giving her a scalp massage with serenity the oil and now she is much much better!  Still is losing a Little hair, but it’s back to normal now!

Also, I had to withdraw money the other day for food because one of the sisters didn’t have  money (lost her card) so the 3 of us are sharing money for 2 this cambio. I think we are good, but please make sure there is money in my account as a just in case…

Week of April 9, 2018 Hola hola!  Today marks 3 months in the misión!!!  I’m on! Here are some of my highlights so far.  Getting to know the people in both Mexico and Chile, watching conference in Spanish, and visiting the temple! Being able to experience the country of Chile.  Becoming fluent in Spanish. Strengthening my testimony. Impacted other people for the good! I’ve also been able to Mexico Temple and the Concepción Temple (the outside).  Missionaries in the misión Concepción don’t get to visit the Santiago temple... are you on the Facebook page for my misión? I sang a duet (kind of a duet) for a practice and there might be a video.. if so, don’t laugh, I was super nervous!!! I feel like I understood most all of General Conference (90 percent!) when we watched it in Spanish.  But I want to read it in English so that I can actually study the words.. Haha, it’s much much easier understanding Spanish then it is speaking Spanish......

Week 8 - Elder Bragg, Speaking Spanish and Hard Work

Week 8 March 5, 2018 Wow, the time here has flown! I only have 4 weeks left in this transfer! Crazy!!! The days feel like weeks and the weeks feel like days.. This week I got called on during a zone conference (with Elder Bragg of the 70) and I actually understood the question and answered (i think) decently! The conference with him was super amazing though, I really love hearing and learning more about what I should be studying right now! I think I'm trying to balance 6 or 7 different topics of study, along with language! Its crazy but so good! My brain has never hurt this much but never felt so good at the same time! I have a sick watch line (sorry, no pictures) and my freckles are coming out! Makes me so happy!!! I love the sun, and am trying to enjoy it before it gets super cold! There are SOO many dogs here! Usually they are behind gates and or are sleeping, but at times there are a lot or really big ones around us, and one starts barking, and then the othe...

Week 24 - Teaching in 3 Languages!

Hey all! So this week has been super crazy! My friend Hermana Rueda finished her mission and leaves tomorrow for her house.. Tomorrow the new missionaries come to the mission office and... GUESS WHAT!!! IM TRAINING!!!!!!!!!!!! How crazy is that? I feel like the blind leading the blind.. But I know that God can do all things, and that with his help, I can teach someone how to be a missionary... But other than that, I’m staying here in Parral YAY! This Saturday we are going to have the baptism of Chelo (haitian) and he is super excited for his day to finally get here! Have you all seen pictures of the temple in Concepcion yet?  If not, look them up! It’s so pretty! I can’t wait for the open house and then the dedication! Can I just say how hard it is speaking 3 languages?  I’m getting better with my Spanish. My English is worse than before, but sometimes I teach in English also, and sometimes we have people who don’t understand English or Spanish so we speak Cr...
