Week 18 - Baptism & Testimony



Hello from the wetlands! jkjk, its just been raining a lot!

 Feliz Dia de Madre!!!  (Translation: Happy Mother's Day.)
So Saturday W____ got baptized and then Sunday he started asking me silly questions!  Such as... do I have a boyfriend?  When do I finish my mission?  Will I come back to visit after the mission?  Will I stay here of to back to the USA?  and... He wants to be invited to my wedding!  Silly boy, we don't talk about things like that in the mission.

Se que Dios es un Dios de milagros, yo a visto muchísimo milagros en mi vida y en la vida de otros. Se que Jesucristo es mi Salvador, Redentor, Hermano, Amigo, y que el puede y quiere ayudarnos en cada cosa que El puede. Se que si alguien siente mal, triste, dolor, o que no hay esperanza, que el quiere ayudarle!Usted solo necesita abrir su corazón y mente para que el puede ayudarle en la mejor manera posible. Se que estamos humanos. Se que estamos pecadoras. Pero se que no importa que ustedes han echo en su vida, ustedes pueden ser limpios y puros otra vez. Se que es difícil para cambiar. Se que aveces no queremos cambiar. Pero se que cuando cambiamos, cambiamos para la mejor mediante Cristo. Se que si ustedes en este momento esta pasando por un momento difícil, Cristo puede ayudarle. PUEDE. Ustedes necesitan esforzarse para tener un mejor relación con el y el va a ayudarle!

(Translation:  I know that God is a god of Miracles I have seen many miracles in my life and in the life of others I know that uses Christ is my Savior, Redeemer,  Savior, Friend and He can and wants to help us because He can.   I know that if anyone is feeling bad, or sad, or in pain, or without hope He can help you.  You only need to open your heart and mind and He can help you in the best way possible.  I know that we are human.  I know that we soon (?).  But I know it does not matter what you have done in your life, you can become clean and pure again.  I know that is difficult to change.  I know that at times we don't want to change.  But I know that when we change, we are changed for the better through Christ.  I know that if at this moment you are passing thru something difficult, He can help you.  HE CAN. You need to strengthen your relationship with Him and He will help.)

Week 13 - My 3 Month Mark!

Week of April 9, 2018 Hola hola!  Today marks 3 months in the misión!!!  I’m on! Here are some of my highlights so far.  Getting to know the people in both Mexico and Chile, watching conference in Spanish, and visiting the temple! Being able to experience the country of Chile.  Becoming fluent in Spanish. Strengthening my testimony. Impacted other people for the good! I’ve also been able to Mexico Temple and the Concepción Temple (the outside).  Missionaries in the misión Concepción don’t get to visit the Santiago temple... are you on the Facebook page for my misión? I sang a duet (kind of a duet) for a practice and there might be a video.. if so, don’t laugh, I was super nervous!!! I feel like I understood most all of General Conference (90 percent!) when we watched it in Spanish.  But I want to read it in English so that I can actually study the words.. Haha, it’s much much easier understanding Spanish then it is speaking Spanish......

Week 8 - Elder Bragg, Speaking Spanish and Hard Work

Week 8 March 5, 2018 Wow, the time here has flown! I only have 4 weeks left in this transfer! Crazy!!! The days feel like weeks and the weeks feel like days.. This week I got called on during a zone conference (with Elder Bragg of the 70) and I actually understood the question and answered (i think) decently! The conference with him was super amazing though, I really love hearing and learning more about what I should be studying right now! I think I'm trying to balance 6 or 7 different topics of study, along with language! Its crazy but so good! My brain has never hurt this much but never felt so good at the same time! I have a sick watch line (sorry, no pictures) and my freckles are coming out! Makes me so happy!!! I love the sun, and am trying to enjoy it before it gets super cold! There are SOO many dogs here! Usually they are behind gates and or are sleeping, but at times there are a lot or really big ones around us, and one starts barking, and then the othe...

Week 24 - Teaching in 3 Languages!

Hey all! So this week has been super crazy! My friend Hermana Rueda finished her mission and leaves tomorrow for her house.. Tomorrow the new missionaries come to the mission office and... GUESS WHAT!!! IM TRAINING!!!!!!!!!!!! How crazy is that? I feel like the blind leading the blind.. But I know that God can do all things, and that with his help, I can teach someone how to be a missionary... But other than that, I’m staying here in Parral YAY! This Saturday we are going to have the baptism of Chelo (haitian) and he is super excited for his day to finally get here! Have you all seen pictures of the temple in Concepcion yet?  If not, look them up! It’s so pretty! I can’t wait for the open house and then the dedication! Can I just say how hard it is speaking 3 languages?  I’m getting better with my Spanish. My English is worse than before, but sometimes I teach in English also, and sometimes we have people who don’t understand English or Spanish so we speak Cr...
